Ineffable Diary
Aphorisms, prose poetry
Raúl Sanz García
The Ineffable Diary has been published in secret — a book that has sprouted, unexpected and uncultivated, like a mushroom: a delicacy and a poison at once, a necessary uselessness in times of scarcity. An unsellable object, like the capricious shapes of the clouds on the days that surround a storm.

Hypotheses
Raúl Sanz García
The question initiates everything. In moving forward, there are no paths. Paths exist only in the return, to carry us to places different from those we set out from. In progress, the future is undone and the past is reassembled. Hypotheses is a poetry collection that traces those passages and the fertility of footsteps — footsteps which, without purpose, scatter the seeds that cling to one’s clothes. In this way, the world and life expand toward a conclusion that paves over and believes itself to fix what is in perpetual movement, what never falls silent.

Anthology of the Discarded
A panorama of contemporary poetry
Various authors, Isidoro Magaux (Ed.)
In this arbitrary anthology, we present the most significant poetic works of various authors who, over the past few decades, have wandered through the corridors of the Spanish literary chaosmos without achieving much more than a handful of literary prizes. The first gathering of these names was undertaken by the critic Ernesto Bauzau, who sought through it to forge a generational construct that his death cut short. We collect here his floating remains as a sample of a lyrical tendency that lacks clear criteria, but in which it is possible to discern the depths of our era — if such depths exist.

We Are Wellspring
Raúl Sanz García
This book is about fertility and the empty space that remains between bodies — about the splitting of life from thought. The poems are situated in an aridity at once imagined and real, between the inversion of the outer gardens and the perversion of the inner ones. Space here serves as a warning sign about the misreading of time: as opposed to metaphysical time, the physical time — real and nonexistent — or the bluntness of becoming that denies all mysticism. The work is, in addition, a cry against complacency in poetry, against the drool of anodyne thoughts that orbit around egos. For if to think is to think against someone, thought is a social fact — as is poetry, whose space is the ritual that envelops bodies and forges the word. In the end, our lyrical misery is our epic impossibility.

Everything Should Be Free
Raúl Sanz García
In a world in which even poetry has become an object of commerce, this collection — by an anonymous but not unknown author — seeks to place itself somewhere else: there, where the sermons of the devourers of men do not reach. What that place may be cannot be known; it will be the reader who must decide. Perhaps it is worth noting that it is, at the very least, the place of a freedom without direction, without errand. And also of the goodness of those who imagine without leaving the world, and of those who leave the world without imagining.

Song of the Absent One
Raúl Sanz García
With a markedly Altazorian accent, Raúl Sanz guides us, by the hand of his vehement narrative protagonist, on a descent into the very entrails of language. Like a peculiar Zarathustra or a reflective Maldoror, the narrative subject of these poetic feats describes the devastated nature of all that surrounds him in a world where absence has taken root — a world where the solidity of preestablished precepts about identity, truth, time, or love crumbles under the lashes of gazes that are verses. In a tone that at times recalls the Odes of Álvaro de Campos and at others the harrowing dismantling of language of Vicente Huidobro, Raúl Sanz lays bare the deficiencies of this world and sows them with a vigorous poetic language that announces a new dawn.

Flowers in Minefields
Raúl Sanz García
Self-published
The poems in this book were written between 1998 and 2011. They are the sporadic creations of my first poetic impulse, gathered belatedly in this volume — whose title describes, in synthetic and precise fashion, the ideas and atmospheres that inhabit it.
